50LB PETROBOND MOLDING SAND

Petrobond has excellent self-adhesion, you will encounter few problems with crumbling. The Petrobond oil does burn where it contacts the molten metal. It is good practice to remove the burned sand from your part when shaking out your castings. This burned sand can be scraped off into a bucket and saved for reconditioning with oil when enough has accumulated. Some burned sand in itself isn't a problem, because it can be mixed back into the pile and it will reabsorb oil and work just fine.
